Active Player Characters
Ayas - Dragonborn Cavalier
Hailing from the far north, Ayas joined the party after he was found in an abandoned monastery, stripped of his memories. A follower of Bahamut, he is honorable and trustworthy, always ready to step in front of danger to help his comrades. While he searches for snippets of his memories, he has pledged himself to Fate's Hammer, and to the defense of Tourean. Ayas has recently discovered that his homeland and his people, the Dragonborn of Rhestilor, were destroyed almost 300 years ago. How he is still alive, and the reason he remembers nothing about what happened remain a mystery.
Dandelion - Half-Elf Ardent/Bard
The newest member of the group, Dandelion is a wanderer with strange psionic and arcane powers, and an even stranger sense of humor. Formerly a patriarch of a Vistani clan, he joined the group at the behest of his sister, Lily. He now travels with Fate's Hammer, searching for fame and glory. What he lacks in martial prowess, he makes up for in tenacity, charisma, trickery, and luck.
Kai - Human Fighter
Kai grew up in Brindol, and served as an apprentice to the local alchemist Andronius. He is a talented warrior, and he joined the group after a goblin attack on Brindol. As one of the original members of the group, he is considered family by Equis Hammerfist and his clan. Kai's skill with weapons is unmatched, and he is completely devoted to his remaining brothers.
Terik - Half-Orc Barbarian/Monk
Created by the foulspawn of Marth Forest, Terik is a half-orc that has lived a dual life. He was taught to fight by his creators, who wanted to turn him into the perfect weapon. But when he was sent live with the elves in order to learn their weaknesses, he found that he couldn't hate them as he was taught. They taught him how to focus himself, and he became an enigma, full of both rage and serenity. His strength and quickness make him deadly on the battlefield.
Wotan - Human Warlock
One of only two remaining adopted sons of Equis Hammerfist, Wotan is a human that has studied the arcane arts for most of his life. His power is drawn from pacts created with powerful entities. His first pact was made with a fey creature of immense power, an agreement which he later broke. His power is now drawn from shadow, his benefactor even more secretive than the first. His magic is formidable, though the cost of his power is not yet know. He is engaged to Lorelai, a girl he met in Hommlett as the group was passing through during their time in the north. Among the Kobolds that live in the mountains near Yellow Water, he is known as "Wutas" and is worshipped as a god. It's a long story.
Former Player Characters
Malek - Tiefling Rogue
Malek joined Fate's Hammer in Dennovar. When Lorelai was kidnapped, they relied on his help in finding her. Malek has an uncanny resemblance to the fallen warlord Morthos, but no one knows if that is significant or just a coincidence. The sneaky tiefling is an expert shot with his crossbow, though his tendancy to shy away from combat - and his questionable decisions - irked his companions. In the end, Malek decided that saving the world from monsters wasn't what he had signed up for, and left the party.
Morthos - Tiefling Warlord
An original member of the group, and adopted son of Equis Hammerfist, Morthos had a grasp of battlefield tactics that was unmatched. But during a battle with a fallen paladin Balin, inside an ancient keep, he was slain while attempting to destroy the crystal sphere that gave the paladin his power. His memory is kept alive by a statue depicting him and his brother, Thrys. He always did want a statue, after all.
Sariel - Eladrin Bard
Placeholder text for Sariel.
Strom - Half-Orc Slayer
Though he was with Fate's Hammer only a short while, Strom was instrumental in ridding Marth Forest of the foulspawn threat. He trained with Terik - the only two half-orcs left after the foulspawn sacrificed them all. Therefore it was no surprise that he followed him into the Chamber of Realms. But having never left the service of the foulspawn, he had never seen the world. He wished the colony farewell, and left to see what he could see.
Seven-Owls - Elf Cleric/Sentinel
This old elf traveled with Fate's Hammer for only a few missions, while the foulspawn opened portals to the Feywild all across Marth Forest. He helped the group dispatch waves of foulspawn and half-orcs, only to chase their leader, Senjarik, back into hiding. His duties to Silvanus, and as forest guardian, eventually took him in another direction, though he promised he would be around should they ever need his help again.
Thorn - Longtooth Druid
The oldest of Equis Hammerfist's sons, he was also the most independant of the group, spending years at a time away from home. He has been with Fate's Hammer for a long time, at first to do some good in the world, but eventually out of respect for his brothers. But he was always torn between his duty to his family and the duty he had to protect the balance of the natural world. After defeating the foulspawns' attempts to create a portal home, he decided to make a change. He left the group and traveled west in search of answers. He promised he would return, someday, but he has no idea when that will be.
Thrys - Elven Ranger
An original member of the group and son of Equis Hammerfist, Thrys' skill with a bow was exceptional, as was his ability at hunting prey, both animal and otherwise. He was fiercely loyal to his brothers, despite their difference in race. While attempting to stop Balin from spreading Bane's destruction, he was slain at the hands of a summoned demon. But after the dust had settled, his body was gone and has never been found. He is depicted alongside his brother Morthos on a statue in the center of Tourean. Until recently, Fate's Hammer has had no reason to think he is still alive. But a hollow voice heard in an ancient temple to Sehanine sounded too much like Thrys to ignore.
